
A 49-year-old man was killed in the Fastiv district of the Kyiv region as a result of a massive Russian attack on the night of February 22. Another 17 people were injured, including four children. There is damage in several areas of the capital.
The consequences of the shelling were reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk, the police and the State Emergency Service of Kyiv Region, as well as the city mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.

According to Vitaliy Klitschko, falling debris was recorded in the capital's Dniprovsky, Svyatoshynsky, Desnyansky, and Podilsky districts.
In the Dnipro district, a rocket fragment fell near an ambulance substation. There was no fire, destruction, or casualties. At another address, a fragment damaged a car in the yard of a residential building. Fragments were also found in an open area and in the yard of one of the houses. And in a park area opposite one of the high-rise buildings.
In the Svyatoshyn district, the blast wave broke windows in several residential buildings. There were no injuries. Windows in an office building were also broken.
In the Desnyanskyi district , rocket fragments fall in an open area.
In the Podilskyi district, debris fell in an open area, without a fire.

In the Kyiv region, settlements and critical infrastructure facilities were hit by Russian missiles and drones.
As of 10:08 , according to the head of the KOVA Mykola Kalashnyk, 15 people were injured, including 4 children. One person died from injuries. The consequences were recorded in five districts.

In the Buchansky district , 3 private houses were completely destroyed, 2 more households were damaged. People were injured.
In the Brovary region, 10 garages and 12 cars were damaged.
A private home was damaged in the Obukhiv district , and a 46-year-old man was injured.
Damage to private property was recorded in the Boryspil region . A woman received a shrapnel wound to her leg.

According to updated data from the head of the region, Mykola Kalashnyk, as of 4:48 p.m., a total of more than 100 homes were damaged, as well as business facilities, warehouses, offices, garages, and cars. The data is being refined.

What is known about the condition of the wounded in the Kyiv region?
Update at 4:48 p.m.: the number of victims has increased to 17, one more person has died, said the head of the region, Mykola Kalashnyk.
As Kalashnik previously said, the most affected were in the Fastiv district, where rescuers pulled eight people from the rubble after a building collapsed. Seven of them received injuries of varying severity. Despite all the efforts of doctors, one man died from his injuries.
“Currently, 5 people have been taken to the medical facility, including the deceased man. Four victims are receiving necessary assistance. Three are in serious condition, two of them are in the operating room, and another is receiving assistance in the emergency room,” Kalashnik reported.
Also, according to the head of the region, there are injured people in Boryspil, Vyshgorod, Obukhiv and Buchanan districts. People received shrapnel wounds, cuts, fractures, poisoning by combustion products and acute stress reactions. Some of the injured were hospitalized, others were provided with assistance on the spot or on an outpatient basis.
Among the injured are four children, who are being provided with all necessary medical and psychological assistance.
As previously reported by the State Emergency Service, a man died in the village of Putrivka, Fastiv district. He died on the way to the hospital.
As residents of the destroyed house told Suspilny, the deceased man was not a local, he had only come to visit them yesterday.

As of 12:00, as reported by the regional State Emergency Service , all fires at 8 locations in different districts of the Kyiv region have been extinguished.

In the village of Putrivka, Fastiv district, and the village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka, the rubble of destroyed houses is being cleared. A tent has been set up to heat the residents of the houses damaged by the explosion. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service are working at the site of the destruction,” the report said.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported at 7:35 a.m. that a woman and a child were injured in a private sector building in the suburbs of Kyiv due to falling debris and were hospitalized. Later, the regional State Emergency Service only reported that a man had been rescued in the suburbs of Kyiv, Sofiivska Borshchagovka.
Later, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the head of KOVA Mykola Kalashnyk reported that a church in the Boryspil district of the Kyiv region was damaged by a Russian strike.

“This is yet another proof that nothing is sacred to Russian terrorists. They purposefully destroy residential buildings, critical infrastructure, schools, hospitals — and even churches,” Kalashnik's post reads.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed that this time the targets for the Russians were not only energy facilities, but also logistics, in particular railway facilities, and water supply infrastructure in cities.
