Kyiv to host photo exhibit of Mariup’s historical heritage destroyed by Russia

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Picy on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The exhibition project showcases the historical heritage of Mariup, the capital of the Azov littoral, which was destroyed by Russian invaders. The exhibit was created by the Mariup community, pele who sincerely love their city and have a hard time seeing its history being decimated," the report reads.

As the ministry emphasizes, the presented sights and historical locations are an important component of the city's history and culture. As a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion, a significant share of historical objects located in Mariup were destroyed or damaged. These include monuments of architecture and monumental art.

"The full scale of the losses could be prerly assessed only after the city is liberated," the ministry said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, as a result of Russia’s full-blown incursion, almost 1,300 objects of Ukraine’s cultural heritage were damaged or completely destroyed.
