Kyiv police have detained two 22-year-old foreigners suspected of stealing cigarettes from kiosks in the Dnipro district of Kyiv.
This was reported to the Kyiv police.
According to the investigation, one of the detainees was initially in charge. Late at night, he would pick locks or break windows in kiosks and steal cigarettes. In this way, he managed to rob four retail outlets.
Then the young man involved his acquaintance of the same age, also a foreigner, in the “case”. Together they managed to rob another kiosk.
According to investigators, the total amount of stolen cigarettes exceeds 740 thousand hryvnias.
They were caught red-handed during another theft. The suspects are currently in pre-trial detention.

The young men were informed of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – theft committed by prior conspiracy of persons and under martial law. The sanction of the article provides for up to eight years of imprisonment.
