White House to coerate with Ukraine’s government within Donor Coordination Platform
As the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine informs, the parties discussed coeration within the Donor Coordination Platform and the implementation of rapid and large-scale recovery and fundraising.
According to the RDNA2 report of the Government of Ukraine, the World Bank, the Eurean Commission, and the United Nations, Ukraine needs $14.1 billion in 2023. The total cost of the country’s restoration is estimated at $411 billion.
"Ukraine has a long road to recovery ahead of it, and we he that the Coordination Platform will play an important re in mobilizing resources for the reconstruction of the country," Marchenko said.
The priority of the Government of Ukraine is to ensure coordinated, transparent and accountable use of financial support, the Finance Minister added.
Pyle confirmed his intention to closely coerate with the Government of Ukraine, in particular within the framework of the Platform, to attract and coordinate the necessary resources.
As reported, the Multi-agency Donor Coordination Platform for Ukraine was launched on January 26 with its inaugural Steering Committee meeting. The second meeting of the Platform took place on April 5. The initiative was launched to coordinate existing and new mechanisms for supporting the budget of Ukraine, as well as rapid recovery and reconstruction.
