Ukraine’s consumer inflation reaches 1.5% in March
This is said in a report issued by the State Statistics Service, according to Ukrinform.
"Inflation on the consumer market in March 2023 compared to February 2023 came to 1.5%, since the beginning of the year – 3.0%. Core inflation in March 2023 compared to February 2023 reached 1.3%, since the beginning of the year – 2.5%," the report says.

It is noted that on the consumer market in March 2023, prices for food products and non-alcohic beverages rose by 2.2%. Vegetables grew in price the most (by 17.3%). Prices for eggs, soft drinks, meat and meat products, bread, pasta, milk and milk products, butter, sugar, fruit, fish and fish products increased by 1.8–0.4%. However, the price of rice, processed grain products, sunflower oil, and lard fell by 2.3–0.2%. Clothing and footwear rose in price by 12.5%, including clothing by 12.5%, footwear by 12.4%.
In the healthcare sector, services grew in prices by 0.6% primarily due to a 0.8% increase in the price of outpatient services.
Transport costs decreased by 0.9% due to a 3.0% decrease in fuel prices. At the same time, fares in railway passenger transport rose by 5.3%.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Ministry of Economy projects that inflation will reach 24% at the end of 2023.
