Energy Ministry, German Eastern Business Association to devel ‘green’ projects in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy and the German Eastern Business Association have signed a memorandum of coeration on ensuring the stable eration of Ukraine’s energy sector, as well as the develment of a stable and sustainable energy system of the future.

This is said in a statement published on the ministry’s website, Ukrinform reports.

The memorandum provides for the exchange of experience between the parties in accelerating the "green" energy transition, the implementation of regular joint formats of coeration on the integration of Ukraine’s energy market with the Eurean one, as well as the support of "green" recovery as part of joint pilot projects on energy reconstruction in Ukraine at the expense of Germany’s business investments.

At a meeting with representatives of German companies, Energy Minister German Galushchenko td about the significant potential for the develment of "green" technogies as part of the recovery and reconstruction of the Ukrainian energy sector.

"Renewable energy is more than just a climate issue. This is an important part of the future of Ukraine’s energy system, which will be resistant to military challenges and be rebuilt on the principles of sustainable develment. Investments in this industry are a contribution to the energy security of the whe of Eure," Galushchenko said.

As reported, 30 countries have already provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine’s energy sector. It includes 470 cargoes with a total weight of about 6,000 tonnes, which have been distributed among 111 enterprises of the energy sector.
