The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine is working on launching a program to support farmers, which will provide interest-free loans for a period of up to five years. This was announced by Deputy Minister Taras Vysotsky during the Forbes Agro 2026 event.
According to him, the government plans to expand existing support instruments and introduce new mechanisms aimed at making financing cheaper for the agricultural sector. In particular, along with the “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%” program, under which over 90 billion hryvnias have already been financed, it is planned to create a special paying agency with access to European development funds.
Please note! It is expected that thanks to this, micro and small agricultural producers will be able to receive interest-free loans of up to 1 million hryvnia for a period of five years.
Currently, about 220 million hryvnias have been accumulated for the implementation of the initiative, but the ministry expects to significantly increase the amount of funding.
Important! The department emphasizes that state credit support programs allow to reduce the financial burden on business, and the program “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%” continues to remain a key tool for supporting farmers.
