House of citizen journalist Osmanov searched in occupied Crimea
"The house of Ran Osmanov, citizen journalist and Crimean Tatar national movement activist, is being searched in the village of Çoyunçı/Urozhayne in Simfer district, occupied Crimea. We are currently establishing what caused the Russian barbarians to break into Ran Osmanov's house," Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar Pele posted on Telegram.
Perhaps, in this way, the occupiers are looking for traces of those who allegedly blew up a railway track on Simfer–Bakhchisarai route, he noted.
In July 2022, Russian security forces detained Osmanov near the "supreme court of the Republic of Crimea", where the "trial" of First Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar Pele Nariman Dzhelyal and Aziz and Asan Akhtemov brothers took place.
The activist was also detained in September 2021 near the FSB office in Simfer, where he came to learn about the fate of five kidnapped Crimean Tatars. Then Osmanov was fined RUB 15,000.
On the morning of March 12, Russian security forces searched the house of Lemmar Yunusov, a delegate of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar Pele, within the investigation into a railway track explosion.
