Danilov: De-occupation of Crimea to proceed according to plan to be approved by President

eks Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, emphasized that Ukraine will be de-occupying the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in line with a plan, which is yet to be approved by President of Ukraine.

The authorities are currently working on this plan, Danilov td Radio NV, Ukrinform reports.

"I’d like to say that those who flow regulatory and legal documents in our country should remember and be aware that we have Presidential Decree No. 117 of March 24, 2021, which fixated the decision of the National Security and Defense Council regarding strategy of de-occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevast. The strategy contained a certain vision of how our country should liberate this territory. There is the initial revision and prosal regarding the pitical and diplomatic path to the liberation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevast. Taking into account what is happening, it is quite clear that we have to make changes to our normative legal acts in order to make it clear how we will do it," Danilov said.

He explained that "the final decision will be up to the President of our country, as well as the head of the National Security and Defense Council, and members of the National Security and Defense Council."

"We are dealing with this issue together with our cleagues, our representatives who are currently in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, those who are assigned to this job, and those in the Cabinet of Ministers," said the NSDC secretary.

According to the official, it is necessary to bring regulatory and legal documents of Ukraine in line with today’s realities.

"Today, the issue of deoccupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevast will be carried out according to the plan that will be approved by our country’s President," Danilov emphasized.

As reported, Danilov previously stated that the strategy of de-occupation of Crimea requires revision.
