Court of Appeal sets bail for Kobev at UAH 229M
This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"On March 1, 2023, after hearing the arguments of the parties, the Appellate Chamber of the Supreme Administrative Constitutional Court partially satisfied a request filed by NABU detectives, which was approved by SAPO prosecutor, annulled the ruling of the court of first instance on the refusal to apply a preventive measure and issued a new one, accordingly applying a preventive measure for the former Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine in the form of a bail in the amount of UAH 229.248 million," the report says.
As reported by Ukrinform, on January 19, law enforcement officers notified Andr Kobev, former Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, that he is suspected of misapprriating more than UAH 229 million.
Kobev, after he was accused of alleged embezzlement, stated that he "will not hide and will prove himself right" in Ukraine.
