The contract of Ukrposhta CEO Ihor Smilyansky is tied to martial law in Ukraine, so he is confident that he will leave his position after its expiration. Smilyansky also plans to receive a higher salary.
What will Smilyansky do after being fired from Ukrposhta?
Head of Ukrposhta Ihor Smilyansky shared his plans for the time after the end of his term on Channel 5.
He said, in particular, that he planned to go to Odessa and just relax.
I have a dream – when the war is over, I will leave this position, go to the beach, turn off my phone, sit by the sea in my native Odessa, eat goby and tyulka. And remember everything you wrote to me,
– said the top manager.
He also clarified that his contract with the company is valid until the end of martial law and for another 90 days after that. After this period expires, Smilyansky assured, he will resign.
He also assured that after Ukrposhta he will have a job with a higher salary than he has now.
What is Igor Smilyansky's salary at Ukrposhta?
Smilyansky's monthly salary is about 970 thousand hryvnias, or about 15 thousand euros. He told this in an interview with Yanina Sokolova.
Last year, the top manager earned 11.7 million hryvnias before taxes. According to him, the size of his salary does not cause him discomfort.
Smilyansky noted that before joining the civil service, he earned much more – about $50,000 per month. Now, the official says, he works at Ukrposhta not for the money, but to see reforms through to the end.
