In the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the confrontation continues in the information field. The enemy cynically manipulates information and uses all means to sow panic in Ukrainian society. This includes manipulations on the topic of mobilization.
Despite the fact that problems with this really exist, there is a lot of false information on the Internet that plays into the hands of the occupiers. This opinion was expressed by the President of Ukraine during an interview with Tagesschau.
How are Russians spreading disinformation about mobilization in Ukraine?
The Head of State said that there are currently many problems with the work of territorial procurement centers. He did not go into detail about this topic, but noted that “people understand everything themselves.”
But at the same time, Zelenskyy emphasized that a lot of disinformation is being spread, often using artificial intelligence and other means.
According to him, this is being done intentionally to create the impression that Ukraine is forcibly taking everyone one by one, although this is far from the truth.
You know, such propaganda is simply disrespectful to those who went to the front voluntarily, who volunteered in the first days of the war, and to those who continue to go now,
– said the president.
He also said that the current situation is radically different from what it was in 2022. At the beginning of the invasion, there was a special atmosphere, when people were real heroes, full of courage.
The President clarified that four years of war have brought exhaustion, so it is clear that there are many reasons for fatigue. And this, of course, affects the mobilization processes.
What is known about the mobilization reform and what should Ukrainians pay attention to?
-
Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced the launch of a comprehensive reform of the mobilization system. According to him, this is a systemic, well-thought-out solution that will eliminate problems that have accumulated over the years and at the same time maintain a high level of the state's defense capability.
-
One of the first noticeable results of the reform was the full automation of the process of extending deferments from conscription. While previously the procedure could drag on for weeks and required numerous documents, visits to the CCC, and applications, now 90% of deferments are extended automatically through the “Reserve+” application.

At the same time, the officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Hennadiy Oliynyk, addressed the civilian population with advice to master useful military skills now, primarily tactical medicine.
-
He also emphasized that after arriving at a military unit, one should never hide one's civilian professions and skills. Even “peaceful” specialties often turn out to be critically important for the army – from IT and logistics to equipment repair, shelter construction, or medical support.
