Head of State says talks with Putin no longer possible
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Vodymyr Zelensky during the press conference ‘February. The Year of Invincibility’, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to Zelensky, he was ready for talks with Putin before the Russian full-scale invasion started.
In particular, the Head of State asked President of Türke Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as other global leaders, to help organize the negotiation process.
“I td: please make Putin sit at the negotiating table. I td him [Erdoğan – Ed.]. And not only him. I td many that the risk of full-scale war cannot be allowed. He [the President of Türke – Ed.] could not do so then. And not only him. Now he believes he can, but now we cannot. This is no longer the right person [referring to Putin – Ed.]. There is nobody to talk with,” Zelensky explained.
A reminder that Ukrainian President Vodymyr Zelensky is hding a press conference in Kyiv, dedicated to the one-year anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
