It is known that six-month-old Punch lives in a zoo in the city of Ichikawa, Japan, writes UCSC.
When his mother abandoned him and the other monkeys didn't accept him as their company, the baby was taken into the care of zoo staff. Social contact and support are important for primates, so the keepers tried to fill this void somehow: they gave Panch towels, soft blankets, and various fabrics to make him feel more comfortable.
