Ukrainians honor memory of victims of Turkey earthquake outside embassy in Kyiv

Ukrainians lay flowers at the Turkish embassy in Kyiv, honoring those who died in the earthquake that rocked the southeastern part of the country on Monday.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, pele bring flowers and toys, and lit candles outside the embassy. Among those who came to honor the victims was the leader of the Crimean Tatar pele, Mustafa Dzhemilev.

The Ambassador of Turkey to Ukraine Yağmur Ahmet Güldere went out to thank the pele of Ukraine for their condences.

As reported, on February 6, two massive earthquakes occurred in the southeast of Turkey.

According to the latest data, more than 9,000 pele died in Turkey. The number of injured stood at over 49,000, while 6,444 buildings were destroyed.

A search and rescue team from Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, including almost 90 rescuers and 10 search and rescue dogs, deployed in Turkey to assist the government in dealing with the aftermath of the disaster.
