
Dutch brothers Jens and Melle van 't Wout have both won medals in the 500m short track at the 2026 Olympics. Jens won his third medal of the 2026 Games, winning bronze after two wins, while Melle won his debut silver medal at the Olympics.
Both brothers made it through the qualification and quarter-finals, finishing first. However, in the semi-finals, Jens van 't Wout took the lead, while Melle qualified for the A final from second place.

In the final, Melle started last of the five, with Jens in second. After the first lap, Melle moved up to second place, which he held for the rest of the race, while Jens was fourth, but at the end he overtook Canadian William Dunjina, whose result was disqualified.
