Oleksiy Matias was born on December 4, 1988 in Kyiv. At the age of 14, the boy created a band. The singer is a graduate of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics.
Alexey participated in the 3rd season of “Star Factory” (2009). Other famous contestants at that time included Stas Shurins, Kolya Serga, Eva Bushmina, Artem Mekh, Erika (now MamaRika), and the Borisenko brothers.
Mathias was able to reach the final, but took 2nd place, losing to Shurins.

Participation in the National Selection for Eurovision
Oleksiy Matias was one of 20 performers who participated in the National Selection for Eurovision-2010. For the competition, he presented the song “Angels Don't Die” and took 3rd place. Then the victory was won by Alyosha (Olena Topolya) with the composition To be free, which took 10th place at Eurovision in Oslo (the capital of Norway).
In 2012, Mathias decided to try his hand at the National Selection again, but he was eliminated from the final. The fact is that the singer's producer Vlad Baginsky was a member of the semi-final jury, which caused criticism in the media and among fans of the competition. It was reported that Oleksiy and his producer were understanding of the decision.

In 2014, Alexey emigrated to the United States and settled in Los Angeles, where he planned to develop a musical career, but it didn't work out. He released covers on his YouTube channel, but the videos received few views.
