The modern market for portable power systems has undergone a rapid evolution from niche camping accessories to complex power supply units capable of supporting the life of a home during long power outages. The transition to new types of batteries and the introduction of new generation semiconductors have created the conditions for the emergence of true leaders in the mid-power segment.

Which models will best cope with the needs of a modern home?

Today, a portable home charging station is a high-tech device that combines a pure sine wave inverter, an intelligent battery management system, and modules for integration into a “smart home.” In the most popular segment, a triangle of leaders has formed: EcoFlow RIVER 3 in its three modifications, Anker SOLIX C800 Plus, and Bluetti AC70, writes 24 Kanal .

Each of these manufacturers offers unique engineering solutions based on different priorities – from the switching speed of the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to the physical endurance of the device.

EcoFlow

EcoFlow RIVER 3, in particular the maximum modification Max Plus, represents a new generation of devices, where the main emphasis is on miniaturization and modularity. This system actually consists of the RIVER 3 Plus base unit with a capacity of 286 watt-hours and the EB600 expansion module with a capacity of 572 watt-hours.

This architecture allows the user to use both a lightweight unit for short-term tasks and a full 858 watt-hour assembly for long outages. If the additional unit runs out, you can connect a new one that you purchase yourself.

The key innovation of the model is the gallium nitride-based X-GaNPower technology, which radically improves energy efficiency when working with low-power devices. This allows the RIVER 3 Max Plus to work up to two times longer when powering devices up to 100 watts, which provides up to 35 hours of operation of a standard WiFi router.

The model also demonstrates a professional UPS standard with a switching speed of less than 10 milliseconds, which is critical for the stable operation of servers and computers.

The model offers fast charging and LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) technology, which provides over 3,000 charging cycles with 80% capacity retention.

Anchor

The Anker SOLIX C800 Plus focuses on industrial reliability and versatility. This model stands out with a powerful 1200-watt inverter and a unique Unibody design that protects the internal components from vibration and shock.

One of the most interesting features of the “Plus” version is the built-in niche under the top cover that stores two waterproof LED lights and a telescopic stand. The lights are automatically charged inside the station and have three operating modes: directional beam, diffused light and candle mode.

SurgePad technology allows this station to power devices up to 1600 watts, making it suitable for electric kettles or heaters.

Thanks to the HyperFlash system, the device charges to 100 percent capacity in just 58 minutes.

Bluetti

The Bluetti AC70 is capable of withstanding significant starting currents. With a 1000 watt continuous power inverter, it supports Power Lifting mode, which allows for short-term load increases to 2000 watts. This makes the model an ideal choice for starting appliances with electric motors, such as refrigerator compressors.

It comes standard with a 768 watt-hour battery based on LiFePO4 technology. The device also supports hybrid capacity expansion with an additional B80 battery, allowing for a total of over 1,500 watt-hours of energy.

AC70 offers 7 universal outputs for connecting various devices:

  • 2 230V AC sockets.
  • 2 USB-C ports with Power Delivery up to 100 watts.
  • 2 USB-A ports, 12 watts each.
  • 1 car port 12V/10A.
  • Wireless charging 15 watts.

One of the most notable features is the 850-950 watt turbo-charging technology that allows the station to charge from 0% to 80% in just 45 minutes. A full charge from a regular power outlet takes about 1.5 hours.

The Bluetti AC70 is the absolute leader in solar generation, supporting an input of up to 500 watts, allowing you to fully charge the station from the sun in just 2 hours under optimal conditions if you have solar panels.

There is also an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) feature that provides automatic switching to battery power in 20 milliseconds in the event of a power outage, protecting your devices from interruptions.

What's all the noise?

  • Analysis of acoustic parameters shows that EcoFlow RIVER 3 Max Plus is the quietest model due to lower heat dissipation of GaN components. The fan noise level here does not exceed 30 decibels.
  • The Anker SOLIX C800 Plus also has low noise levels, but it gets louder in super-fast charging mode.
  • Bluetti AC70 creates noise of about 45 decibels under intensive loads.

Convenient application

All three stations support control via mobile apps. For example, EcoFlow offers flexible settings for charge limits and network status notifications, while Bluetti provides settings for Eco/Turbo modes and other operating parameters.
