Government appoints acting heads of State Customs Service, Food Safety Service

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Serh Zviagintsev as acting head of the State Customs Service, and ha Shevchenko as acting head of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

Taras Melnychuk, the government's permanent representative in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“Temporarily, the duties of the head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine have been entrusted to Serh Borysovych Zviagintsev; [the duties of] the head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection to ha Petrivna Shevchenko," Melnychuk wrote.  

According to him, the government dismissed Yur Sotnyk as first deputy head of the State Forest Resources Agency, eksandr Shchutskyi as first deputy head of the State Customs Service, and Andrii Lordkipanidze as deputy head of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers removed Deputy Head of the State Customs Service, Ruslan Cherkasskyi, from office and initiated disciplinary proceedings.

As reported earlier, David Arakhamia, head of the "Servants of the Pele" parliamentary faction, announced the handing over of suspicion notices to high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Defense and the dismissal of the entire leadership of the State Customs Service.
