At least 110 abducted residents of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia regions held at Simfer pre-trial detention center

"A new pre-trial detention center No. 2, which was ened and is overseen by FSB officers, is designed to hd at least 458 inmates. At the end of last year, we had data that at least 110 pele were held there earlier taken out of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions," ha Skrypnyk, Head of the Board of the Crimean Human Rights Group, said during a press conference at the Ukrinform news agency.

Ukrainian activists, journalists, vunteers, as well as foreign citizens who were invved in vunteer activities, are among those imprisoned, Skrypnyk noted.

"Vunteers or ATO participants are charged with international terrorism. There are also espionage cases. This is very strange because Russia can bring espionage charges against the citizens of the Russian Federation, and here we are talking about the citizens of Ukraine," the human rights activist stressed.

As reported, some pele are held at Simfer pre-trial detention center No. 2 without ening cases against them.
