An inquiry has been launched in the Lviv area concerning the deliberate killing of two young individuals and the self-inflicted death of their father. The perpetrator fatally shot his offspring with a firearm before taking his own life.

A legal probe has commenced in the Lviv region concerning the premeditated slaying of two underage offspring and the father’s self-destruction, as conveyed by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office alongside the region’s Main Police Department, UNN discloses.

On the 15th of February, around 9:25 p.m., the constabulary received a dispatch regarding gun reports emanating from a dwelling in Stanislavchyk village, within the Zolochiv district. Upon arriving at the location, law enforcement officers discovered lifeless remains of three individuals – a 42-year-old local inhabitant and his pair of children, aged 13 and 15, showing no indications of vitality.
“Preliminary findings suggest the man discharged rounds from a hunting rifle directed at his children, subsequently ending his own life,” articulated the police authorities.
An investigative task force, comprising operational personnel, forensic specialists, and other relevant departments, was actively engaged at the site.
Criminal proceedings have been formally initiated under clauses 1, 2, part 2 of Article 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and part 1 of Article 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with the note “suicide”
– the police were informed.
Highlighted is the fact that “a preliminary judicial investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are endeavoring to ascertain all facets surrounding the occurrence.”
The advancement of the pre-trial investigation is being overseen by the director of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the prosecutor’s office pointed out.
