Zelensky, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office discuss forced deportation, detention of POWs
"We need increased attention of the OSCE to two key problems: the forced deportation of women and children to the territory of the Russian Federation and the conditions of detention of Ukrainian prisoners of war. These are crucial things for us," Zelensky said, the President’s Office informs.
He paid particular attention to the importance of implementing the Ukrainian peace formula and invited North Macedonia's chairmanship to participate in this process. "We want the world order to be restored and stability to be returned to our region. I rely on the invvement of the OSCE and North Macedonia in the implementation of the peace formula," the President stressed.
The President thanked the government and pele of North Macedonia for the humanitarian and security assistance provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
He congratulated North Macedonia on the start of OSCE chairmanship and noted the importance of the minister's first foreign visit to Ukraine as the incumbent OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
"It is very important for us. We are grateful to the OSCE for consistently supporting our country since the temporary occupation of some parts of our territory in 2014. Today, support for the Organization's mission is more important than ever," Zelensky said.
For his part, the incumbent OSCE Chairman-in-Office emphasized sidarity with Ukraine and its pele and noted that the security of our country is a priority of his chairmanship. As the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Buyar Osmani assured that his country will support Ukraine until its victory over the aggressor.
As reported, incumbent OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani arrived in Ukraine on Monday. This is the first official visit of Minister Osmani as the incumbent OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
