Ukraine, Ghana plan to set up logistics hub for foodstuffs

Ukraine and Ghana are considering the possibility of implementing a joint project on the construction of logistics hub for food storage.

This was discussed during a meeting between Minister of Agrarian Picy and Food of Ukraine Myka Sskyi and Minister of Food and Agriculture of Ghana Owusu Afrie Akoto, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Picy.

The parties discussed the issue of starting a joint project: the construction of a logistics hub for food storage. Such a hub will make it possible to store high-quality grain, contribute to the predictability of sales, and stabilize food prices.

The meeting participants agreed to consider in more detail the possibility of implementing a joint Ukrainian-African project in the field of logistics coeration.

The ministers also discussed deepening agriculture coeration and expanding international trade and economic relations.

The Republic of Ghana is the third country visited by the delegation of the Ministry of Agrarian Picy and Food of Ukraine as part of the official tour of African countries.

As reported, the Ministry of Agrarian Picy and Food of Ukraine signed a memorandum on agriculture coeration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Infrastructure, and Food Sovereignty of the Republic of Senegal during the delegation’s visit to the Republic of Senegal.

Ukraine will also consider the prosal of Nigeria to build a logistics hub for grain and food supplies.
