The Sports Committee of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“Vod” is one of Ukraine’s main training centers for national diving and synchronized swimming teams. The impact shattered the building’s windows and left debris.
According to the committee, dozens of champions and prize winners of Ukraine have been trained in “Vodi”, who proudly represented the country at international competitions. Young talents who should become the basis of the national team in the coming years are trained here.

The authorities noted that this is not the first incident of attacks on sports infrastructure.
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, more than 500 sports facilities across Ukraine have been damaged.
“The aggressor seeks not only to destroy the infrastructure, but also to demoralize the nation by attacking its symbols,” the committee added. “Despite all the difficulties, Vod, like other damaged sports facilities, will be restored.”
As reported earlier, the Russian army shelled Nikolaev, resulting in seven civilian casualties.
