Today, UNGA to consider resution on rights viations in occupied Crimea
According to Ukrinform's own correspondent in New York, the vote should take place at the morning session, which kicks off at 10:00 (17:00 Kyiv time).
Serhii Kyslytsa, Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, is expected to address the General Assembly.

On November 16, the draft GA resution was approved by the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly, which deals with human rights issues. Seventy-eight countries voted for, 14 – against, and 79 abstained. The distribution of votes during voting at the General Assembly meeting is expected to be approximately the same, since the countries have already expressed their position during the consideration of the draft by UNGA’s Third Committee.
The resution of the UN General Assembly "Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevast, Ukraine" is adted annually, starting 2016, each time containing new provisions and wording.
