Minister Marchenko: Ukraine may receive €3B within EU macro-financial assistance in January

Ukraine expects to receive the first tranche of macro-financial assistance approved by the Eurean Parliament in the amount of three billion euros already in January.

"We expect to get the first tranche of 3 billion euros already in January," Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko said during the nationwide, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As reported, on November 9, 2022, the Eurean Commission submitted a prosal to launch a new large-scale program of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 18 billion euros. On November 24, the prosal was supported by the Eurean Parliament, on December 10 – the Council of the Eurean Union.

It is expected that preferential loan funds will be transferred to the state budget during 2023 in equal parts, taking into account Ukraine's fulfillment of the conditions agreed on by the parties.
