Four ships loaded with agricultural products leave Ukrainian ports
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The Grain Initiative: four vessels left the Odesa region’s ports with 69.5 thousand tonnes of agricultural products intended for Asia,” the report states.
The tankers, SELINA II and MED PACIFIC, will deliver 54,000 tonnes of sunflower oil to India.
Currently, twenty-one vessels are being handled at the Odesa region’s ports. They will be loaded with 665.8 thousand tonnes of Ukrainian-produced agricultural products.
One vessel is sailing towards the Odesa region’s ports via the ‘grain corridor’ to be loaded with 63.5 thousand tonnes of agricultural products.
According to the ministry, the situation with queues is remaining challenging. Russia allows for the passage of not more than three vessels per day (out of 12 vessels required). Eighty-one ships are now waiting for inspection in the Bosphorus Strait.
A reminder that a total of 554 vessels have left the Odesa region’s ports since August 1, 2022. They exported 13.9 million tonnes of Ukrainian-produced agricultural products to Asian, Eurean and African countries.
