Zelensky demands conclusions from local authorities due to delays in resolving electricity supply problems

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conference call on the situation in Ukraine's energy sector and stressed that not all communities are resolving power supply problems in a timely manner. He called on local authorities to draw conclusions and respond promptly to outages.

This is stated on the president's Telegram page.

The most difficult situation with electricity supply, according to Zelensky, is currently in Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions.

“Not all communities solve problems on time, and there should be conclusions about this,” the head of state noted.

Particular attention was paid to the cities of the Dnipropetrovsk region, in particular Kryvyi Rih, where, as Zelensky noted, the response of local authorities to long outages is often delayed.

“The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine must also act much more promptly to increase, as has already been determined, the capabilities of protecting the Kharkiv region and other regions bordering Russia from “shaheeds” and other strike drones. Ukraine does not have time to wait for individual elements of the Air Force to adjust,” the president added.

Zelensky noted that, in particular, additional measures are being taken in the Odessa region to support people whose homes are heated by electricity, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported receiving generators from partners for emergency response reserves.

“It is important that for each such building there is a clear response from local authorities regarding the real provision of people,” the president concluded.
