Two Ukrainian lugers in the top 15 after half of the competition at the 2026 Olympic Games: results

The first luge races took place at the 2026 Olympic Games. Two Ukrainian athletes, Andriy Mandziy and Anton Dukach, participated in them.

Half of the luge races took place on the first day of competition at the 2026 Olympic Games. 25 athletes, including two Ukrainians, took part.

On the first day of competition, all sledders must complete two runs. After each attempt, a general table is formed, which will ultimately determine the medal winners of the 2026 Olympic Games after all four runs.

After the first race, the best time among Ukrainians was shown by Anton Dukach, who completed the course in 53.748 seconds. According to this indicator, the Ukrainian came in 13th, while Mandziy came in 16th with a time of 53.815.

In the second attempt, both Ukrainians managed to improve their times and gain several positions compared to the first start. In the end, Dukach showed a final time of 12th, and Mandziy 14th.

The leader after two races was German luger Max Langenhahn, who showed a total time of 1:45.826 minutes. In the second race, the German set a track record, covering it in 52.924 seconds.
