In Ukraine, 433 children killed since Russian invasion

Russian forces have killed 433 children across Ukraine, injuring another 837 since the start of the full-scale aggression on February 24.

That’s according to the Prosecutor General's Office, Ukrinform reports.

"As of the morning of November 18, 2022, more than 1,270 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression. According to the official reports by juvenile prosecutors, 433 children were killed and 837 sustained injuries of varying severity," the statement reads.

The indicated numbers are not final, as work is ongoing to verify incoming data from the zones of active hostilities, temporarily captured and liberated territories.

According to the PGO, the largest number of children casualties were reported in the flowing regions: Donetsk (423), Kharkiv (265), Kyiv (117), Mykaiv (77), Zaporizhia (72), Chernihiv (68), Luhansk (64), Kherson (64), and Dnipretrovsk (32).

On November 17, ten pele were killed, including two children aged 11 and 17, as a result of a Russian missile strike that hit a househd in the town of Vilniansk, Zaporizhia region.

On the same day, a 15-year-d girl was injured by enemy shelling targeting the city of Dnipro.

On November 16, an 11-year-d girl was injured in a strike at the town of Izium, Kharkiv region.

Russian strikes also damaged 2,719 educational facilities, 332 of which were completely destroyed.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the Juvenile Prevention Department of the National Pice, since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 7,835 children have been reported missing. At the moment, 7,555 children were found, while the search for another 280 is underway.
