Ukraine will do everything possible to prevent the mobile ground-based complex with the medium-range ballistic missile “Oreshnik”, which the Russians are currently deploying on the territory of Belarus, from operating there.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this at a meeting with the media, a journalist from Suspilny reports.
He noted that during the years of full-scale aggression against Ukraine, Russia built various air corridors that it used during attacks on Ukrainian energy. This includes technical equipment on antennas in Belarus that helped Russian drones. At the same time, Ukraine found something to do with some antennas to reduce the scale of the attacks.
“There (in Belarus, — ed.) there is already “Oreshnik” in full or in part. Preparatory, technical work has been done there. Because “Oreshnik” is not just antennas anymore. We did everything to prevent the antennas from working, and we will definitely do everything to prevent “Oreshnik” from even starting to work. This is a threat to us. And we want to use all the tools to prevent this from happening. If Russia manages to fully involve another country in this war – Belarus – it will be a great tragedy,” Zelenskyy stressed.
