Kyiv Mayor Klitschko tells about penalties for quarantine violators

Those who are caught breaking the rules the first time shall be fined at UAH 17,000 (US$606).

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has elaborated on the penalties violators of quarantine rules or mandatory observation are now facing.

“Liability for violation of the quarantine regime, self-isolation, or observation, will be as follows: UAH 17,000 [US$606] fine for first violation and UAH 34,000 [US$1,212] for second violation. Well, those who don’t understand the situation at all and break the rules for the third time shall be subject to criminal liability,” Klitschko told a briefing on March 31.

The Kyiv City State Administration earlier said it planned to fine quarantine violators in the range from UAH 1,700 (US$61) to UAH 3,400 (US$121).
