43 rescuers died since start of full-scale war in Ukraine
Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine started, 43 rescuers died, 144 were injured, and 8 more were captured by the invaders.
The press service of the State Emergency Service said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 43 rescuers gave their lives while performing their duties, 144 were injured, and eight more were captured by the enemy," the report says.
It is noted that Ukrainian rescuers have made more than 50,000 erational trips to eliminate the consequences of Russian shelling, saved the lives of almost 2,000 pele and evacuated more than 2 million Ukrainians since February 24.
As reminder that Ukraine marks Rescuer’s Day on September 17.
