Food safety platform implements functionality of signing transactions, delivering goods

The National Food Security Platform, created after Russia's invasion of Ukraine to consolidate the work of agro-industrial complex producers, has expanded its working functionality with the possibility of signing agreements between a buyer and a supplier on its website, as well as ordering logistics services, the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection website said.

"The platform helps see the balance of supply and demand for food products, as well as receive information about scarce goods to ensure food security in the state. We are gradually expanding its functionality. So, today two important functions have been added: ordering logistics services and signing agreements online," Anatoliy Vovniuk, the acting head of the service, said.

At the same time, it is indicated that the future plans for the development of the platform include attracting the maximum number of agro-industrial enterprises, from agricultural firms to end points of sale. This will allow you to see the history of consumption and production of all goods of the food group along the entire chain: from the "field" to the final consumer.

It is specified that over 1,500 participants and over 1,000 supply and demand positions have been registered on the platform for 10 days of operation.

According to the State Food and Consumer Service, funds from the state budget were not involved in the implementation of the project, the IT companies Terrasoft and Banza (both from Kyiv) were involved in the creation and configuration of the platform on a volunteer basis.

Users of the platform can use it to find a buyer for their food products, find and order the ingredients necessary for their production, order products on a humanitarian or commercial basis. The platform also makes it possible to track requests for food from regional military administrations and provide them with supplies of humanitarian aid.
