The State Agency for Land Reclamation and Fisheries of Ukraine has launched the Fish-Help-Protection online platform with data on the availability of fish and fish products from processing enterprises and business entities that can be sent to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in conditions of military aggression of the Russian Federation.
Information about the relevant website http://darghelp.com is published on the website of the State Fisheries Agency.
According to it, the platform is designed for use in martial law. It collects data on Ukrainian fish processing facilities, fish product sellers, logistics facilities, as well as volunteer and other organizations that can in one way or another contribute to ensuring the food security of the warring country.
The State Fisheries Agency reported that since the beginning of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received more than seven tonnes of fish and fish products through the online platform.
According to the department, a significant part of the department’s employees joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, territorial defense units and other military formations. In addition, employees of the territorial departments of the State Fisheries Agency regularly donate nets for weaving camouflage to the defenders of Ukraine, volunteer, help civilians with clothing, housing, food, etc.
As reported, on February 28, the State Fisheries Agency called on Ukrainian businesses to establish communication with the agency to launch the production of canned fish on tolling terms in order to provide for the Ukrainian army.
The agency said that it is ready to provide raw materials for processing, only the production of canned food is required from manufacturers.
According to the Kernel agro-industrial group, it found enterprises that were able to resume the production of canned fish for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
