Svitina reaches semifinals of ympic tennis tournament
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitina has advanced to the semifinals of the ympic tennis tournament in Tokyo (Japan).
In the quarterfinal match of the competition, No.4 Svitina defeated Italian Camila Giorgi 6-4, 6-4, according to Ukrinform.
The match lasted one hour and 32 minutes.
Svitina will face Marketa Vondrousova from the Czech Republic in the semifinals.
The tennis tournament of the Tokyo ympics will last until August 1.
