Japanese DJ and producer Yone-Ko is one of the headliners of the birthday party weekend at Kyiv’s electronic music club Closer set to perform on July 3.
Nightclub Closer, one of the pioneers of electronic music in Ukraine, is celebrating eight years since settling in its first-ever physical location, Lesnoy Prichal (Forest Pier). Previously, Closer’s team promoted parties in different locations such as opera theaters, boat stations and old restaurants. Lesnoy Prichal is part of the art cluster at the former ribbon factory on 31 Nyzhnoiurkivska Street. The location is designed like a boat that has moored right by a forested hill. “We got lost somewhere in the forest but found ourselves instead,” the organizers said announcing the celebratory event on Facebook. “Lesnoy Prichal became our shelter and home.” The birthday weekend lineup features Closer’s friends and collaborators such as Dj Stingray, Alex Savage, Ponura, Edward, Yone-Ko and Timur Basha. To create a domestic atmosphere at the party, the club encourages visitors to wear robes, slippers and other comfy apparel.
