EBRD, commercial banks loan $100 million to Ukrainian supermarket chain Novus


Ukrainian food retailer Novus has nearly 50 stores across the country, employing over 5,500 Ukrainians. With a $100 million credit from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the company will expand its chain and open Ukraine’s first ecological warehouse.

Ukrainian supermarket chain Novus has received a $100-million syndicated loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and other banks, the company announced on Aug. 28.

Novus will get nearly $35 million of the $100 million from commercial banks.
