The government paid Ukrainians UAH 232 million in cashback for purchasing Ukrainian-made goods in November, nearly double the amount paid in October. The average payment increased by 19.5%, from UAH 97 to UAH 116 per person, according to the Ministry of Economy's website on Wednesday.
The number of cashback recipients rose by 800,000 compared to the previous month, reaching almost 2 million people.
"This indicates that interest in the program and demand for Ukrainian-made goods continue to grow. Please note that payments for December and January will be made at the end of February 2025," said First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, as quoted in the publication.
According to the Ministry, Ukrainians under 45 years old remain the most active program participants, making up 60% of all users. Middle-aged participants account for 24%, while seniors (60+) comprise 16%.
Nearly 700,000 citizens did not receive payments because they failed to activate their cashback cards in the Diia app on time or accumulated less than UAH 2. The total cashback amount accrued but not disbursed to these users is UAH 48 million.
Cashback payments for December and January will be processed in late February 2025 due to budgetary procedures. All accrued funds will be paid in full.
As of December 25, 2024, 7.9 million citizens have joined the program, and 8.6 million National Cashback cards have been issued. Of these, 4.2 million cards have been activated in Diia for future payments.
Since the program's launch three months ago, the total cashback disbursed has amounted to UAH 388 million.
The program includes 1,665 manufacturers and 360,000 Ukrainian-made products. Major national retail chains, pharmacies, gas stations, and numerous regional and independent stores are participating.
As reported, on October 11, First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced that the Ministry of Economy had completed beta testing of the National Cashback program and decided to launch a national advertising campaign.
The maximum monthly cashback amount is UAH 3,000, and funds can be spent by the 20th of the following month on medical and utility services, sports, cinema, train tickets, donations to the Armed Forces, or purchasing war bonds.
