General Staff reports 190 combat engagements on frontline on Dec 12

That is according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine update at 22:00 on December 12, Ukrinform reports.

"Since the beginning of the day, 190 combat engagements have been recorded. Russian invaders carried out 31 airstrikes across Ukraine, drped 61 guided aerial bombs, and deployed 568 kamikaze drones. Additionally, the enemy conducted 3,194 attacks on our forces and pulated areas," the statement reads.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attacked the Ukrainian positions five times near Vovchansk, Hlyboke, and Starytsia, with all attacks repelled by the Defense Forces.

Preliminary estimates of enemy losses in this sector include 92 personnel killed or wounded. The Ukrainian forces destroyed one artillery system, one vehicle, and 20 enemy drones, while damaging three more vehicles.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched seven assaults on the Ukrainian positions near Synkivka, Zahryzove, and Zapadne. Fighting continues near Dvorichna.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian forces attempted to advance 21 times near the areas of Kanky, Novoyehorivka, Lozova, Nada, Makiivka, Terny, and the Serebrianskyi Forest. The Ukrainian defenders maintain a strong defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Three engagements are ongoing near Terny.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian forces repelled six enemy attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar and in the directions of Stupochky and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk sector, the invaders attacked four times near Toretsk, with two engagements currently ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, high-intensity fighting persists, with the number of engagements rising to 46. The invaders continue their pressure near Myriubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenska, Novyi Trud, Pishchane, Shevchenkove, and Chumatske. The Ukrainian defenders repelled 43 attacks, with three engagements ongoing.

Preliminary enemy losses include 288 personnel killed or wounded. Additionally, the Ukrainian forces destroyed four vehicles and two motorcycles, while damaging two more vehicles and two motorcycles.

In the Kurakhove sector, currently, 46 engagements of varying intensity have occurred. The enemy focused their efforts near Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Kurakhove, Dalnie, and Uspenivka. Fighting continues, with five clashes currently underway.

In the Vremivka sector, the Russian forces launched 30 assaults supported by aviation along the frontlines near Sukhyi Yaly, Kostiantynilske, Rozdne, Neskuchne, and Novodarivka. One engagement is ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to attack the Ukrainian positions near Novodanylivka. Enemy aviation drped bombs on Stepnohirsk.

In the Prydniprovske sector, two enemy assault attempts failed.

In Russia’s Kursk region, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 enemy assaults, with two engagements ongoing.
