Kyiv approves capital's budget 2025 with revenues of over UAH 90.6 bln

Deputies of Kyiv City Council approved the capital's budget for 2025 with revenues of over UAH 90.6 billion and expenditures of UAH 90 billion.

Some 85 deputies voted for the corresponding decision at a meeting of the City Council on Thursday.

The largest share of revenues is tax revenues, of which personal income tax (PIT) is planned at UAH 40 billion (44.7% of the total), which is UAH 8 billion more than this year.

Revenues from local taxes have increased to UAH 20.7 billion (23.2%) against UAH 16.8 billion. Revenues from corporate income tax should also increase compared to the 2024 budget to UAH 14.5 billion (16.2%) against UAH 7.5 billion. Funds from land sales are planned at UAH 400,000 against UAH 2.8 billion this year.

The main area of ​​funding is education some UAH 32.4 billion (36.1%). For the transport sector some UAH 18.6 billion (20.8%), for social protection about UAH 10 billion (11.2%), housing and utilities UAH 7 billion (7.8%), healthcare about UAH 6.5 billion (7.2%), telecommunications UAH 2.5 billion (2.8%).

Some UAH 5 billion is allocated to assist the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the material and technical equipment of military units. Expenditures on culture are set at UAH 2.1 billion (2.4%), physical education and sports – UAH 1.6 billion (1.9%).
