Aid to Ukraine issue set to take up significant part of Biden’s visit to Germany – White House

This was stated by White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre, who spoke at a press conference in Washington on Wednesday, Ukrinform's own correspondent reports.

"A big part of the travel he’s doing is going to be continuing support for Ukraine," the White House spokesperson said.

She emphasized that the United States will continue to provide support to Ukraine. Jean-Pierre noted that Germany also plays a significant re in the process.

"We have worked together closely to strengthen our economies both for both our pele and to provide critical support for Ukraine  Ukraine as it continues to defend itself against Russian aggression," Jean-Pierre said.

She also noted that Germany remains the second largest provider of aid to Ukraine after the United States.

At the same time, besides meeting with Chancellor af Schz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Joe Biden will also hd meetings in Berlin with other leaders.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, international media reported on US President Joe Biden's intention to pay a visit to Germany and hd meetings on Friday with the German leadership, as well as the leaders of France and the UK.
