Luxembourg, Denmark provide EUR 2M worth of equipment to Ukraine as part of IT coalition

Luxembourg and Denmark have supplied Ukraine with network equipment worth EUR 2 million as part of the IT coalition.

That's according to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's press service, Ukrinform reports.

"Thanks to contributions from Luxembourg and Denmark, the IT coalition provided Ukraine with network equipment and auxiliary licenses with a total value of more than EUR 2 million. This equipment will strengthen the power of data processing centers and cyber protection of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the statement reads.

The ministry said that earlier the IT coalition, led by Estonia and Luxembourg, had handed over lapts, monitors and other communications equipment worth EUR 900,000 to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, the IT coalition has already provided more than EUR 5 million of assistance for the IT infrastructure of the Ministry of Defense and Ukraine's Armed Forces as part of contributions from the United Kingdom, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg and jointly with Canada.

"Cyber defense specialists of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine protect information and communication systems and networks from cyber attacks. The new batch of equipment will improve the protection of our networks and contribute to the implementation of a number of information systems — this is one of our priorities," said Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Transformations, Digital Develment and Digitalization Kateryna Chernohorenko.
