NATO Secretary General: Putin’s war fueled by those who don’t share our values
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Sttenberg during the press conference flowing the first plenary meeting of the NATO Summit in Washington, reports an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Security is global, not regional. Putin's war is fueled by those who do not share our values. Iran and North Korea provide direct military support, while China is prping up Russia's war economy. This is not just a temporary coalition of convenience, it is a major strategic shift. And we must remain clear-eyed as to the threat it poses," he stressed.

Sttenberg recalled that in the final declaration of the Summit, the allied leaders recognized that China is a decisive enabler of Russia’s war against Ukraine. In fact, Beijing supports the growing threat Moscow poses to all Euro-Atlantic security as it continues this conflict at the heart of Eure, the largest in recent history. As Sttenberg noted, such behavior on the part of China cannot remain without it negatively impacting its interests and international reputation.
"In this dangerous world, friends and partners are more important than ever. So today we agreed to continue to strengthen our partnerships, especially in the Indo-Pacific… Tomorrow, NATO will meet with four Indo-Pacific partners and the Eurean Union. And we will continue to deepen our coeration in addressing shared challenges," the NATO Secretary General summed up.
