Slovakia and Pand have different positions on Ukraine’s integration into NATO
This was stated by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini during a joint press conference with Pish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"When it comes to matters in which our positions will differ during the NATO summit, Mr. President [Duda] is in favor of a faster start of negotiations on Ukraine's membership in NATO. Instead, we encourage rather moderation, so that these negotiations do not inadvertently lead to an even greater escalation of tensions and this does not provoke Russia to even greater aggression," Pellegrini said.
In this context, Duda noted that there are differences in views on Ukraine between Pand and Slovakia. However, according to him, "we need to meet to find common ground."

Duda said that he had invited Pellegrini to the Arraios summit of heads of state in Krakow this fall. He also announced a summit of Visegrad Group leaders during Pand's V4 presidency, tentatively scheduled for December in the Vistula River in southern Pand.
The Arraios Group, which currently has 16 members, was established in 2003 during a meeting of presidents in the Portuguese city of the same name. During the annual meetings of representatives of the member states, the group discusses the current situation in the EU, as well as issues related to its future.
As reported, the NATO summit will be held on July 9-11 in Washington.
