Ukraine, EU finalize text of security agreement – President’s Office
As noted, on the instructions of the President of Ukraine and the Head of the Presidential Office, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva held the final round of negotiations on the security agreement with the EU with Charles Fries, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurean External Action Service for Peace, Security and Defense.
“The Ukrainian and EU negotiating teams finalized the text of the security agreement and agreed to sign it in the near future,” the President’s Office said.

The security agreement with the EU will be concluded in pursuance of the Joint Declaration on Support for Ukraine, which the Eurean Union, together with the G7 countries, approved in Vilnius on July 12, 2023, the President’s Office recalled.
As reported by Ukrinform, on June 13, on the sidelines of the G7 summit, Ukrainian and U.S. Presidents Vodymyr Zelensky and Joe Biden signed a bilateral security agreement that provides for support for Ukraine now and in the long term to strengthen the ability to deter potential aggression in the future. On the same day, Ukraine signed a security agreement with Japan.
