American volunteer Sean Fuller, who has been fighting for Ukraine since 2018, decided to try his hand at music after being seriously wounded and losing his arm in the Kherson direction. Today, he has become a DJ.
American volunteer Sean Fuller spoke about this in an exclusive interview with Channel 24 , noting that he loves electronic and dance music.
Life after the war: DJing as rehabilitation
Sean Fuller said that he works at the TYTANOVI sports and rehabilitation center in Kyiv, which was created for war veterans, wounded soldiers with limb amputations. He shared that the center deals with osseointegration prosthetics.
They have two centers: a rehabilitation center and a cultural and artistic center in the “Respublika” shopping mall. There, guitarists teach people how to play the guitar or drums, I'm not really interested in that. Then they hired DJ Mykhailo Buger, I was interested, I decided to go and see and learn a little,
– shared Fuller.

The soldier said that his brain was kind of foggy. He says that a big problem in the army is the constant concussions that soldiers experience. According to him, it was hard for him to think, but music helped in this process. That's why he calls DJing a kind of rehabilitation.
One of the organizers came up with something and I performed in several public places. It was very interesting for me, I liked it. I did quite well. I played with Pivovarov, Victoria Niro, I met new people,
– Fuller said.
He said that DJing is a new field of activity for him, which has become the safest in his life compared to what he was doing before. Sean Fuller expressed his desire to move further in this direction – music.

Sean Fuller first came to Ukraine in 2028
Until 2018, Sean Fuller had never been to Ukraine. He arrived here with the aim of joining the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, having learned about the war through acquaintances. The volunteer said that his decision was influenced by the way the Ukrainian people resisted Russian aggression. He wanted to become part of this movement. His friends from Texas supported this initiative, and his mother, after a phone call, did not immediately believe that her son was really in Ukraine at war. But his father was not surprised by his son's choice.
A foreigner told how he was seriously injured
A volunteer from the USA was injured during an amphibious operation near Krynkyi in the Kherson region. During the combat mission, he had to enter the area at night on boats and move through thickets. At that time, the Russians were actively conducting reconnaissance with drones, adjusting the work of artillery. The enemy fire was constant. During such a Russian attack, the soldier lost his arm, being half in the water at the moment of the explosion. He waited for evacuation for almost 10 hours.
