This was reported today, May 26, by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv.
It is noted that the incident occurred last weekend in the capital's Hydropark. The police received a report that two men jumped from the pier while swimming in the Dnipro River and did not swim out.
“Later, rescuers found the bodies of two deceased people – they turned out to be citizens of another country, aged 20 and 25,” the report says.
Investigators of the Dnipro Police Department have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional murder with the additional note “Accident”. The pre-trial investigation is currently ongoing.
