Bad weather in Kyiv region: more than 18 thousand consumers without electricity

More than 18,000 residents of the Kyiv region remain without electricity after the night storm that raged in the region on the night of May 21.

This was reported by DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Grids.

Due to strong winds and falling trees and branches, power lines were snapped. The most damage was in the Vyshgorod, Buchanan, and Boryspil districts. Emergency crews are working hard to repair the damage as quickly as possible and restore electricity to consumers, DTEK emphasizes.

The company reminds of the need to follow safety rules: do not approach broken wires, damaged power poles, and other energy facilities. If you discover dangerous areas, report them immediately.

According to weather forecasters, thunderstorms are expected in Kyiv and the region today, May 21.
