Ryasne under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite Russian statements / Collage by Channel 24
Russian propagandists have claimed the village of Ryasne in Sumy Oblast has been captured. The Defense Forces have denied the enemy's claims and assured that the situation there is under control.
This was announced by the 14th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 26.
What is the situation in Ryasne?
The army corps stated that Russian resources are actively spreading information about the alleged capture of the village of Ryasne, Krasnopil community in Sumy region. The enemy claims that the settlement was captured by units of the 34th Russian Motorized Rifle Brigade. In addition, they talk about the alleged “defeat” of other villages.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine called the propagandists' statements another example of the IPSO and denied the capture of Ryasny.
Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine maintain defense at designated borders, carry out measures to deter invaders and inflict significant losses in manpower on the enemy,
– they assured in the 14th Army Corps.
The fighters emphasized that the Russians' false statements are another attempt to justify their own failures.
The settlement is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the situation is fully under control,
– added the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Did the Russians target Sumy?
It was previously reported that the Russian army does not abandon its intentions to seize as much territory as possible in Ukraine. In particular, they aimed at one of the regional centers – Sumy or Kharkiv. At the same time, in the area of responsibility of the 8th Airborne Assault Corps, the enemy was pressing precisely in the Sumy direction.
The military noted that despite attempted attacks, the aggressor would not be able to achieve the stated goal.
